SPARE A THOUGHT FOR TUN RAHAH BINTI TAN SRI MOHAMMAD NOAH

KEE@FSWMAG.COM

WHILE WE ALL REVEL IN THE DOWNFALL OF OUR FORMER PRIME MINISTER DATUK SERI NAJIB TUN RAZAK, LET US SPARE A THOUGHT FOR TUN RAHAH HIS MOTHER.

She is now 84 years old and wife of our second Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein. He died in office in 1976 and she became a widow at the youngish age of 43.

When her eldest son Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak became the 6th Prime Minister in 2009, all congratulated her as entering history as the wife of Malaysia's second Prime Minister and mother of Malaysia's 6th Prime Minister. What an exalted position.

Sumore her own sister Tun Suhaila Noah (1948-1990) was married to Tun Hussein Onn, the 3rd Prime Minister of Malaysia from 1976 to 1981 who conveniently took over from his bro-in-law Tun Razak Hussein (so many Husseins but Tun Razak's father is not Tun Hussein Onn).

As it is, his first cousin is the sexy Dato Sri Hishammuddin Hussein the ex Minister of Defence and one of UMNO's vice-presidents and a contender for the PM's post in future.

That would have been so cool---2 sisters each with a son as Prime Minister! But what man ponder, God can split asunder.

Both men were lawfully elected into the highest office but along the way one lost the script completely. However a new script was written and passed to Dato Sri Najib Tun Razak by Rosmah Fandy, oops I mean Rosmah Mansor the eternally beautiful dukun, I mean First Lady.

Now poor Tun Rahah had to bury her husband and now bury the political career of her eldest son Dato Sri Najib who will obviously not be given the grand title of Tun upon his sudden departure from Putrajaya. Some mean souls will blame her for raising such a RM 2.6 billion son as even his siblings have criticised and ostracised him.

But what to do? When Dato Sri Najib was riding high everyone marvelled at her ability to raise such a son into the highest political position of Malaysia! This is life. The same way everyone congratulated and praised my mother for raising me until I become world's Super Blogger! Hehe

Tun Rahah's birthday is 11 June but I heard it will not be celebrated on a monumental scale like mine which lasts 2 months from 7 January to 7 March.
