Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur lit up its Christmas Charity Tree in aid of children suffering from severe heart ailments. The Christmas Charity Tree is the hotel’s annual charity project called “Embrace the Gift of Life”. Since 1985, the hotel has helped hundreds of critically ill children and raised more than RM4 million through this charity project.

Manfred Weber, Area General Manager of the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, lit up this year’s Christmas Charity Tree with the theme “An Enchanting Christmas with Santa and His Elves” in the Main Lobby, together with recipients of the charity fund and disadvantaged children from Tasputra Perkim and Pusat Penjagaan Kanak Kanak Cacat Taman Megah.

On the tree are 150 sets of Santa and His Elves, handcrafted and assembled by our pastry chefs.
