TROPICANA UNVEILS ITS FIRST FORAY INTO KAJANG
Aptly known as Tropicana Heights, this spectacular, green-inspired and guarded development is built on what used to be the green hills and valleys of the Kajang Hill Golf & Country Club

Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or “Group”), the company that pioneered the concept of resort-themed developments in Malaysia is set to create a new benchmark in the town of Kajang with the launch of its latest development, Tropicana Heights.

A mere stone’s throw away from the growing Kajang town, Tropicana Heights encompasses 199 acres of freehold land replete with lush greeneries. 16 acres have been dedicated to the creation of a Central Park that features a 750 meter linear lake. Pedestrian pathways, jogging tracks, and bicycle tracks weave around to provide accessibility to every corner of the serene park.

Crowned by a canopy of trees and carpeted by fresh green grass, the Central Park is perfect for families to unwind, nurture bonds and create new memories. True to the Group’s eco-friendly vision, even the original trees have all been retained and transplanted into the green area.

Commenting on the growing trend of green living developments, Dato’ Dickson Tan, Group Managing Director of Tropicana said, “It has become a growing trend for many people to live in the areas of Greater KL to enjoy a higher quality of life. At Tropicana Heights, the master plan has been thoughtfully designed to focus on enhancing the quality of life of its residents, with its many green spaces and streets planned with safety utmost in mind.

As a responsible developer, we are committed to designing more green sustainable developments as it has a positive long-term impact on the environment and communities we serve.”

Dato’ Dickson added, “We are excited about the launch of Tropicana Heights here in Kajang, one of the key areas identified by the Economic Transformation Plan’s development of Greater Kuala Lumpur. With its population growing close to nine per cent per annum due to migration, it is one of the highest density economic centres, which will be well-connected via the new transport integration system; the Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) and Light Rail Transport (LRT).

In addition, it is also part of the plan to transform greater KL into one of the 20 most liveable metropolises globally as it is well positioned for further economic growth.

The launch of Tropicana Heights was graced by the 55 times world champion Lion Dance show, fortune drum performance and fireworks display. There was a positive response and turnout from the public with more than 2,000 people attending the launch.

Those who were present were also treated to a rousing performance by Tan Soo Suan of Dama Orchestra and mingled with Joanne Yew of Miss Astro International Pageant. Apart from that, many of the people present attended talks by Faizal Ridzuan and Marinah Ng, to learn more about property investments and numerology, respectively.

Fairfield Residences, slated as Phase 1 for the Tropicana Heights development has been opened for registration and thus far, more than 60% per cent has been taken up. Spanning 25 acres, Fairfield Residences comprises 198 units of stylishly designed, two-storey terrace homes and 91 units of highly exclusive, three-storey homes. To provide peace of mind, Fairfield Residences is guarded 24-hours a day, with guards manning the single point of entry and exit guardhouse.

In 2014, Tropicana will be accelerating the pace of its transformational journey. With 2,200 acres of prime development landbank at a GDV of RM80 billion in key growth regions nationwide, the Group will be realising the value of its landbanks with new project launches throughout the year.

On this 199 acres of lush grounds and clear lakes, Tropicana has envisioned a truly unique masterplan comprising a 16-acre Central Park with a 750-metre linear lake, a commercial centre with the latest facilities and amenities to serve the community, and surrounded by a series of residential
precincts

The Residential Precincts are unlike other developments in Kajang, with private gardens, parks, pedestrian ways and green nodes, to create a village-like density and to nurture the spirit and values of neighbourhood living
