THESE ARE MY FAVOURITES;

The fabulous Key made in honour of my name Kee! So sweet of Tiffany to create an entire collection in my honour! This diamond key is US$ 2,800 in USA and under RM 10,000 here.

At 87 carats, this green tourmaline is big enough even for me. It costs around RM 300,000

I ALWAYS LIKE TIFFANY, PARTLY DUE TO THE NAME WHICH IS SO HIGHCLASS COMPARED TO, SAY, AGATHA OR MAUD OR PENNY.

Then comes the designs which are classy and timeless though at times they can even be funky!

Then their famous blue boxes which are as coveted as the gems inside. To this day, the staff are not allowed to give an extra box even after purchase! One box per item is the golden rule!

Mr Charles Lewis Comfort Tiffany who founded Tiffany's in 1837 once said "No one is ever allowed to walk out with one of my blue boxes unless he purchases something to put inside'. The company became Tiffany and Co in 1853 when Tiffany took over the company that started as a 'stationery and fancy goods emporium'.

Their first mail order catalogue, called the  Blue Book for obvious reason, appeared in 1845 and is still in production today.

Now Tiffany continues its original fancy goods heritage with everything fanciful your heart desires, from big diamond to small rubies to watches, clocks, stemware, watches,vases, cutlery, china, crystal, porcelain, belts, leather goods and yes, stationery!

I visited Tiffany in Chicago's Magnificent Mile (their answer to our Golden Triangle) and was shocked to see hundreds inside the store! Here at Suria KLCC  and Pavilion, there are usually less than half a dozen at any time but in America, Tiffany is so hugely popular the stores are so jam-packed I thought they were having a closing down sale! Ditto for the Tiffany store in Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills where I went for the launch of Frank Gehry's collection for Tiffany's.

The stores in America are maybe ten to twenty times bigger than the ones in KL as Tiffany is seen as affordable luxuries as you can buy a genuine Tiffany (and get the same blue box!) for a few hundred ringgit to a few million!

Here are Tiffany's latest holiday gifts as Christmas is not that far away and Deepavali is in November!

All prices are in US Dollars and valid only in USA so don't just convert by multiplying by 3.1 etc as they cost more in Malaysia.

Barang kemas emas resembles gold jwellery in Malaysia. Gold has been treasured for its natural beauty and radiance. For this reason, many cultures have imagined gold to represent the sun. Exquisite is another way of demonstrating the precious metal content of gold jewellery, and represents the purity in parts per thousand. When stamped on jewellery, usually this is stated without the decimal point. The modern gold market is a picture of diversity and growth. Gold is the material of choice to guarantee reliability of performance. Gold’s unique properties and versatility make the metal indispensable in jewelleries.

Pearl necklaces in Malaysia are especially popular. Every pearl is unique and appears natural without modifications. Pearls are formed within soft tissues of mollusks just as a baby develops in mother’s womb with tender care.
